Abstract

This assignment is about lab reports and how it should contain honest information, otherwise it may cause problems since the data is needed for future purposes.

Lab report data should be presented in an honest fashion since the information given to others should always be accurate as possible as it may cause problems in the future when the data is used. Data that is found is used in order to teach those interested in the topic and learn from the findings of the report. If the information was false, it would cause the individual who wrote the lab report to lose credibility, making them look bad since other engineers would have to correct the information. This not only wastes other engineers’ time but will slow down the advancements from new research. Going back to honesty at the workplace, it is required in order to build trust as well as work efficiently with other people. Without it, many setbacks would occur, which can be detrimental to a person’s career as well as cause distrust in the workplace. The main reason lab report data should be honest is to allow other researchers to build on your findings as a way to carry on that person’s work. Data will always be remembered and used in order to assist future researchers with discovering new findings. All in all, honesty will always be rewarded while dishonesty will only cause issues.
