This assignment is about the designs of writing on how the way the the work is presented can affect an individual’s understanding of the piece and what it’s about.

Design is important when it comes to writing a scientific paper and there are several different ways to how the design of a paper can make it effective. Having a design in a scientific paper allows the reader to not only reflect on the organization of the writer but also assists the readers as it allows them to not only effectively locate certain information, but also helps the reader understand and retain the information from the paper. There are several things to consider when designing a scientific paper. There are several design choices that can make a scientific paper more effective. The proximity of certain items can help the reader understand if certain information is related. The alignment of the text allows the reader to understand the relationships among portions of the paper. The repetition used makes it easier for the reader to format the same information in the same format and vice versa. The contrast used can help readers interpret the text as well as find the differences within the text. Along with the design choices listed, there are other design choices that are important as they keep the reader in mind. The paper size standards can vary between different countries, meaning that the writer must consider the paper size. Typefaces can also vary as some areas may prefer a different typeface than other areas. Color preferences are also important since certain countries may associate a color differently than other countries. Text direction can also vary since certain countries may read from different directions due to how their text is usually read. There are many factors to consider when designing a paper as it not only assists the reader in understanding the information but must also adapt to the standards of the scientific paper based on certain cultures.
